Located on two continents - Europe and Asia, Kazakhstan is the largest country in the world without exit to the world ocean.

The current capital of Kazakhstan Nursultan (since 23.03.2019) has changed its name several times. It was previously called Astana (1998-2019), Akmola (1992-1998), Tselinograd (1961-1992) and was founded as Akmolinsk.

The first and largest cosmodrome in the world, Baikonur, is located in Kazakhstan. From there started into space the first artificial satellite on earth "Sputnik" and of course the first manned space flight with Yuri Gagarin.

According to the World Bank, Kazakhstan is one of the 20 most attractive countries in the world for investment.
